Anyone interested in going on a day hike? I was thinking either Mt. Si (because I haven't been there and it is apparently close and convenient) or Blanca Lake (http://www.piap.com/photos/20050528/index.shtml).
I have to be back to Seattle around 5 or 6 pm, so I would like to go early in the morning. Going early in my opinion is usually better anyway, because it is less hot and less crowded.
If I go alone, I'll probably go to Si. If there are more of us, we might be better off splitting gas and going to Blanca Lake...I think it is about a 2 hr drive from Seattle.
Pack some food, get your boots and let's go!!

An outing option
Hey ladies -
I'm in a show out in Ballard called Quickies at Live Girls Theater - a company dedicated to producing and developing new works by women. They challenge the current under representation of women in theater by:
The Thursday shows are pay-what-you-can and the Saturday 4:00 show can be pay-what-you-can if you say "whistle of injustice" (a reference from one of the pieces in the show) at the door.
It's a really fun show - 6 short pieces with little acts in between. It's usually just under 2 hours including the intermission. If you come to one of the evening shows, I can join you for drinks after!!!

Empowering women artists to be leaders and create their own opportunities;
Providing the public with opportunities to see plays by women;
Advocating for women playwrights and their work in the theater community;
Celebrating women’s contributions to society;
Creating exciting events that entertain our audiences, and provoke responses.

Dinner and SIFF This Friday Night
This Friday a few of us are going to see "Nu" at the SIFF Cinema at 9:30 pm. All are invited! There are many Thai places around that area so I thought we could meet up around 7 and find a place to eat before the show! Please reply to this if you are interested in coming!

Whew!
It took a while, but I finally got this blog site up!
Please tell me what you think of the events, if you want to change them , or have any suggestions for others.
So far in July and August I am planning:
glass blowing,
berry picking,
hiking,
Japanese dinner party,
SAM, and
wine tasting (Safia, you might find it interesting)!
So anyway, log on and write back!
